                                 DCC  Information

On my layout, I use Digitrax. Currently I have a "Super Chief" from them, with a DCS-200 command station. The layout is divided into 4 power districts by the use of a PM-42. I have another PM-42 for the control of the staging yards reverse loops, and the main  turntable at Selma and another one at the coal mine. I will install another, to control the wye at Fremont, and the last turntable at Maplesville.

Many of the DCC parts I have, have come to me in the forms of gifts. One friend, who had to leave the hobby, gave me his complete system, which consisted of the DCS-200, two radio throttles, and 3 Pm-42s. It was quite a gift. I thanked him for it, then he turned around and gave me 20 car kits ranging from Silver Streak cars, Mainline Models, Northeastern, and several locomotives. As if I didn't have enough cars left to build!

The DCC installs on the rest of my locomotives consist mainly of Digitrax DH-123's, a couple of TCS decoders and a few NCE decoders. I prefer the two function decoders, as the only thing that I use on the decoders is the speed and direction. I run mostly steam, and the era I model, the 1940's-1950, steam locomotives didn't turn their lights on in the daytime, so no headlights for me!

To be continued!!!
