Its been a while since I last posted. What I've been doing is trying to finish off, all the brass locomotives that people have sent me to paint. In the past two years, I've finished 2, Alleghenies, 2, Mallet's, (2-8-8-2), 4 consolidations, 6 mikes, 3 Pacifics, and I'm finishing up my last 4, 2 consols, 1 santa fe, (2-10-2), and a CB&Q "Aeolus". This was one of the nickel plated locos from Nickel Plate Products. After I finish all of these jobs, I'm officially retired from custom painting after 32 years. Reason for this, even though I love to paint, is it has interfered enough with MY HOBBY!
I have several locomotives of my own that need painting, and a good lot of car kits that I need to either build & paint or just finish. Some are resin kits, some are wooden Craftsman kits, and some are the plastic type craftsman kits. IIRC there are about 50-75 of these to do. Since I have at present 339 cars in the inventory of Rail-op, the program I'm going to use to generate traffic, as I build one of these, several of the "shake the box" Athearn and roundhouse kits will be removed and either sold, or given away. My little 17' x 23' layout can't support 339 cars, much less the additional 50-75 car kits still to go.
I will continue to do DCC decoder installs both for friends and the LHS we have here in town.
Visitors will note that the contact form has been removed. Spammers have been signing up trying to get e-mail addresses attached to the website. So unfortunately I have been forced to remove that item for now.
